Driftwood, reclaimed old wood, rusty steel and found object art.
I breathe new life into discarded bits of metal and wood that have outlived their usefulness in their original form. My art has been purchased by folks all over North America from Maine to California and Florida to British Columbia.
When ever possible the wooden elements in my art are used as found with either minimal or no alterations. I sand just enough to give the wood a smooth feel but not enough to remove the character that weather, age and use have given it. I find my raw materials on the Atlantic shoreline and lake and river banks in the South East. Rusty metal barrels, discarded appliances, beat up bicycles and old car parts are some of my metal sources along with the remnants of ancient farming equipment abandoned on my property almost a century ago.
